Today in College

Well, today was another day for me and my university.

Im still quite homesick but things are better.

We watched 2 documentaries in Photography class today. They were actually pretty interesting but the room was pitch black and I was sleepy hence... i fell asleep.

then I had lunch and went outside and did a photo shoot of my friend dee dee. then while in Bible class I began to feel like a true college student. The professor was giving notes for a test we're gonna have on friday and he went so fast I couldn't type it all. 

I was quite flustered and realizing i need a tape recorder. then....dun dun dun..... my mac helped me out. (Btw my mac's name is Jac the mac) so i was typing my notes in the little "notebook format when i discovered a functions called "audio".

I hit the button and it began to record the surrounding sound. i was amazed. My professor who thought he could out smart me...did not!!!! So i typed what I caught from what he was saying and all was recorded. My friend sarah and I checked to make sure it saved and opened back up and it sure did. 

I cracked the system!!!

i can bring my laptop and chatzy with ppl while it records my notes for me to review later!!!!

GO ME!

btw did u know there are some colleges that actually offer Underwater Basket Weaving???? im so doing my informative report on it!!!!!!

Why HELLO

Heyy!

well, I haven't written in a long time. So sorry bout that. lol

Im officially a college student. Although, it doesn't feel like it. I'm still feeling like that dorky girl in JC with a class of 30 students. now im in a freshman class of 600! 

it's so weird.

I have an 8:00am class monday, wed, and friday which kinda stinks. but it's an easy class so..lol.

i have been having the WORST time getting my photography supplies.. btw, allow me to tell you the story

the man denied my check at the camera store even though i had plenty of money in my account, well i called my parentals and they talked to the bank and everything was dandy so i went back and tried again....again... DENIED!

what the heck?!?!

i was so mad.

we drove all over (me and amy) looking for another camera shop. turns our DURY's is the BEST for professional stuff. i'm definately gettting my prints done there is hardcore professional.

Jacob came to town tonight!!!!!

he got in around 9pm!

it was so good to see him.

I gave him a quick tour of the campus and introduced him to my friends, then he headed to the house he's staying at.

tomorow.... i get to see the tccs eagles play!! im so excited! shout out to dad and trav: GO EAGLES!

i also won a cheesecake factory giftcard for knowing there are 206 bones in the human body....go me. lol Jacob and i will be ejoying that for sure!

well, lots of fun planned for this weekend.

remind me to post about the dreadfulness of a 4-HOUR LONG class!!!

oh i may be buying a used Olympus E-300 EVOLT from a friend of a friend.

Long Lost Friends

I don't like the city all that much, well perhaps it's because my friends don't live there, and i'm a "slug" and everyone there is more like... "sharks".

i do LOVE brooklyn.

i feel so much more at home there. I see why my mom loved living there. The best food, the best people, the best bagels!! lol

anyway,....

i'm up in Schenectady now chillin with my home-girl brittany!! lol

we went swimming, strawberry picking,movie night....ect.

It's been sooo fun!

we introduced my mom to "My Big Fat Greek Wedding", bahaha....it's so typical of EVERYONE up here. lol

i had a celebration dinner at a really nice restaurant by the lake. It was beautiful. 

so, do i need to put pics on here for you non-facebooker's????

the WORST day ever

so... i bet you think u've had a pretty bad day b4,

well, i can beat it. lol

so on thursday.... we were walking down the street when it started to pour...we had already passed the place we were going and so we had walked extra blocks and were exhausted, and now it began to pour. we didnt have umbrella's with us, so we had to buy a couple. 

then we took the subway to the complete other side of the city to meet a friend for our 2nd round of starbucks that day.

somehow i managed to misplace my keys, it had my little vera bradly wallet-y thing on it with like, $100, my licence and my debit card.

however i didnt realize i didnt have it until i was trying to buy jacob's b-day present

im freaking out b/c in a city of 8 MILLION i just lost my money, my identity and the key to my bank accout

i was freaking out...we ran back to the subway... [ it was so crowded that u were pressed up against everyone else and they were breathing all over you] mom almost passed out, i was beginning to cry, and we had to go to the freakin otherside of the city

i called the starbucks, the hadnt seen it [liars]

when i got there mom and travis looked through all the trash cans and prayed...out loud on the street in manhattan [ not looked highly upon]

i rush into the starbucks and look frantically for it.

i asked at the counter....they had it

i bout passed out with relief  i clutched it in my hands and began to cry, my money was gone (of course) all $90 that takes a long time to earn at Texas Roadhouse!!

how was i supposed to buy jake's 18th b-day present???????

so, i begged for money on the street, [nah, jk, but is seriously considered it] haha

on the long walk back home we were coming up from the subway and i tripped and fell flat on my face on the subway stairs :-(

i got to the apt. in brooklyn and collapsed

it was a horrible day, and only my 2nd out of 2 WEEKS!

personal opinion:

Obamma is the beginning of the 2nd coming.

(i read i a CHRISTIAN mag that a scientist who has been study astrology to determine the 2nd coming is getting closer and the approx. time is around 2014 or 2015)

McCain: a WAR HERO...obamma should NOT be the "Commander and Chief" of the armed forces ... he has no idea what he's doing, and for cryin' out loud BOMB is in his NAME!!!!!!

call me crazy buuuut.... after watching a debate btwn Obamma and Hillary .... i sincerely hope, if at all possible, Hillary is the democratic candidate.

my dad brought up a good point to me he said:

"if you really believe Obamma taking presidency is the begging of the end then why aren't you living like it?"

I said:

"because dad, if i was told i had only 7 months to live (by a doctor or something) then i would go get a full time job at the mall or something....prolly Wet Seal, and then use the money in my bank account to get an apt. I'd get married in Sept. then live the rest of those few months i had with my husband in our apt, as a store employee. and those would prolly be the happiest 7 months of my life"

he looked at me and rolled his eyes saying:

"that cant possibly be what you want out of life."

i just looked him straight in the eye and said:

"actually yes. the only consistent dream I've had my whole life is to fall in love with the man made for me, marry and live happily with him."

so let's say the doctor (7months down the road) said: false alarm! you're going to live longer now!

would i still be happy?

yea! it'd be December and i'd have been married for three wonderful months, and working at my favorite store, just to come home at night and lay down beside the man of my dream.

SUPER BUSY!!!!

today is C-R-A-Z-Y

mom convinced me to spend the morning at the gym with her. we used some of the excersize equipment, the did an hour long RIDICULOUSLY INTENSE work-out class with tons of weights and squats and other stuff.

then we went swiming. then i convinced her to sit in the hot-tube with me.

then i got out and was FREEZING so i laid in the sauna!!! then we came home breifly, im on my way out the door to go out to eat, then shooting with zach and taylor, then babysitting. fun fun fun

i aint no couch potato!!! lol

UPDATEZ:

*brit passed her GED test! u go girlie!

*ben and ashley are getting married august 2nd (for those loser who didn't already know)

*i leave for NY on june 25th and wont be back until june 6th.

I saw THE HULK yesterday... it was pretty good.

unfortunately i cant sleep the entire day away ...mom wakes me up after being forced to attend a spanish luncheon i began to read my book then fell asleep

3hrs later one of my fav. ppl decides to pop over. he's a friend of my dad so ... happy fathers day

of course there is a whole spiritual conversation taking place.

the question of buying insurance for someone going on a mission trip came up today.

i was like...duhh!! incase u get malaria!!! lol but mom's like no God will take care of us on this mission trip...and im like....uhh thousands of missionaries are shot DEAD serving the Lord. hence, im all for the insurance incase u need to be sent back to the states.

well, today is your average rainy day in small-town, Tennessee

the only difference......

i've had a revelation.

ok here lemme  show u how it works

i will use one of my ex's as the ginny-pig. and "J" as a comparison 

ok does the guy (or girl) you are currently with share these qualities

your hands "just fit" together.

ex: not really, infact i didnt really like holding his hand all the time

J:  it fits as if it were a glove. if nothing else...i just want to hold his hand

can u sit in silence together doing nothing for a while?

ex: noo...that killed me! i was always like: lets do something! let's watch tv or let's go outside.

J: absolutely. hours fly by and i could have sworn i was only laying there with him for 30min.

are u comfortable around him/her eating messy food, without make-up, or in clothes that look aweful on you?

ex: no i always tried to look nice and eat nice. oh and due to my self-conscience self...i ALWAYS wore a push-up bra. yea...sad i kno

J: i cant think of a time when i've eaten neatly. haha, i dress up sometimes but prefer junky clothes. and just like in those little "myspace quotes" ive gone to him with make-up streaming down my face and still felt pretty.

one more:

does he try to be with u, and try to make important what's important to you

ex: yea well, at least for a month. lol my parents had lot's of rules and he stuck it out.....for 1 month

J: you have no idea the hell i have put that boy through for the last 7 months.  we've gotten in some hefty trouble...and everytime it was my fault. he's been yelled at by one of my parents, he's been outcast from the family, he's been bitten by my dog, he's been shunned by my brother, he's been shoved in a chair (we wont say who did this) he's been ditched, by me, punched, by me.....yeah somehow it rings true " u always hurt worst the ones u love the most.

so, me and him have seriously been to hell and back. and where is he now,

still anxious as ever to see my face. still excited to answer my calls, still coming over to join in family activites.

why?'

Friday the 13th

well guys,

it's Friday the 13th!!!

to begin with i got to work at about 11:30.

well, around 12 the power randomly went out. It was a bright sunny day and we had nooo idea what caused it.

the restaurant went dark and the kitchen kicked off. the emergency lights flickered every now and then. 

customers walked out and we scrambled to try and get things up and running.

it wasnt the breaker box...that didnt work.

it wasnt an overload....we had all the vents on

the temperature was rising as the outside air of 85 degrees and the kitchen smoke collided together to form a very toasty 90 degrees.

it was right at the time for a lunch rush and there we were sweating and in the dark

the power tried to come back on a few times...no success.

finally the power board came...they had no idea what had happened.

an hour later the power came back and we began seating customers again.

then the grill quit, and the salad bar started sparking.

eventually everything was back to normal.

we still dont really know what happened...

perhaps a black cat crossed our path.....

or perhaps it was .....

sometimes it's understandable. like, u walk into a  restraunt and find ur ex canoodling with that girl he cheated with u on..... understandable.

but srsly, dont kid yourself....sometimes there is just that person who makes u nauseous for no apparent reason. secretly when ur out u kinda want to run in to them. but then again u dont. u dont wanna see them.

yea, we all have someone like this.

im sure i am this to someone. 

but do we really know why we hate this person??

think about it.

well, it's time i actually did more of what i love and took my passion for photography outside the box.
